AMD Launches Treasure Hunt Contest in Second Life
As part of its virtual developer outreach program, AMD is hosting a new scavenger hunt in Second Life! Starting July 12, 2010, visitors to AMD Dev Central Island will discover a number of randomly placed interactive game kiosks. These kiosks will challenge users to increase their knowledge about initiatives like ATI Stream SDK, OpenCL™, and more. As participants progress through the game experience, they will be eligible to receive exclusive, custom-developed in-world prizes. After completing all of the 10 treasure hunt quiz stations, USA and Canada (excluding Quebec) participants will be eligible to enter to win the grand prize, an AMD processor-based computer system. (See contest rules for details and restrictions).
AMD has always fostered a strong interest in virtual worlds and hard-core gaming, and it has had a major presence in Second Life for over three years. We have designed the treasure hunt event to make it easy to learn more about AMD’s developer resources, and most of the quiz answers can be found on our web site, AMD Developer Central. We’re excited to continue to blend our real-world presence with our virtual-world presence, so we welcome you to come visit our island and start playing, today!
