ATI Catalyst 9.9 Driver – Everything you want to know and why you should care
Game Optimizations: ATI CatalystTM9.9 Driver
With last month’s release of the ATI CatalystTM 9.8 driver, we saw huge game performance increases, given that, this month the driver team focused on other applications and optimizations.
ATI CatalystTM 9.9 Driver has no new features but does have the following resolved issues:
Anti-Aliasing support for Ghostbusters
ATI CrossFireXTM support for Resident Evil 5
Graphics corruption fix for Sims 3
ATI CatalystTM Control Center – Basic mode now responds appropriately after exiting Quick Adjust Video Settings
Edge enhancement and de-noise sliders in ATI Catalyst Control Center no longer lags or appears out of sync with mouse movement
Launching Hotkeys Manager in ATI Catalyst Control Center no longer causes an unhandled exception error
The “Desktop Rotation” page in ATI Catalyst Control Center no longer shows additional information for the second display when the secondary adapter is connected
HDMI is now detected properly as DTV (HDMI) instead of DTV (DVI) when the HDMI display is hotplugged for the first time
ATI Catalyst Control Center no longer displays error message when specific HDMI displays are hot unplugged and hotplugged back
Intermittent failures no longer occur with Cyberlink MediaShow Espresso once a transcoding process has been completed
And last but surely not least, my favorite community: ATI CatalystTM 9.9 driver for Linux!
Support for new Linux operating systems
This release of ATI Catalyst driver for Linux introduces support for the following new operating systems:
• openSUSE 11.1 production support
• SLED and SLES 10 SP3 early look support

Yeah seems the southbridge package for Vista hasn’t been uploaded to the server along with all the others because I just found the same problem. Also, on another note (I know it may not your responsibility but please pass on to whoever is in control of it) the UK page for AMD won’t load either. It comes up with “An unexpected error has occurred.” I had to change manually to the US site in the address bar.
The link provided in Catalyst download is wrong or doesn’t work.

I have the same problem with Catalyst Control Center 9.9
I want download Polish CCC but its not avaible on the Website. Please fix it.
Hey ATI Team. I am using ATI now for 7 Years.
My First card was the Radeon 8500 then 9500 Pro, 9600XT, 9700 Pro, 9800XT, 800XT, 850XT PE, HD2600XT and right now the 4850.
I never had to complain! But I am having HUGE problems right now with my Radeon 4850.
I am using a DELL 21″ CRT. With the latest drivers I can´t use Resolutions lower than 800×600. Old Games will not start anymore. Also my monitor runs at 60HZ which really hurts the eye. I can´t set it up to normal resolutions.
Normally it would be Right-Click, Properties, etc.
But nothing works. After I set 1280×1024@100HZ my monitor flashes for a second and everythings the same.
But if I set it to 1600×1200, then it really gets fucked up, I can drag around my view of the screen with my mouse.
All of that worked fine before! I was hoping for relief with a new driver, but nothing became better from version 9.7 to 9.9.
I have a fresh installation of XP with SP3 and .Net framework 3.5.
Help me ATI!

Noticed on :

- Two 3870×2 in Crossfire (quad GPU) Win Seven RC X64
- Two 4870×2 in Crossfire (quad GPU) Win Vista X64
