Ooooooo, I am seriously hoping this works. If these drivers are good, no only will ATI have the BEST HARDWARE but it will have great software to drive it. THEN they will be UNSTOPPABLE! MUAHHAHAHAH
FYI – my system lockups have NOT occured for 2 days after updated driver 10.2! New Win 7 Falcon NW system… been fighting this for a month…. ATI5970 card… almost went to Nvidia – it was my next step – this driver saved this sale…
Thanks!
Steve
I lost only performance on this drivers. Thanks ATi again. Big improvements added great… I dont see nothing changed in Uningine Heaven lost 1% and in Dirt 2 i lost about 4-7 fps overall… Very thanks again…
Ok so whats up with the Profile thing I installed new drivers and Profile APP. I get a SOLID 20 FPS on all games on Eyefinity 5970 CrossfireX cam someone explain
No xorg-server 1.7.4 support (xorg 7.5)
No fix for the gray screen / vertical line issue, fail.
@shanecossever on Twitter. Msg me Jay, if you want to keep a customer.
Can anybody report whether the gray screen/total system hang-up issue has been fixed with these for the 5970? Since ATI never released a gray screen hotfix for any cards but the 5800 series, leaving me and my very expensive 5970 in the dust, I would assume that these drivers are the fix. I’m not downloading these until someone reports that they fix the issue.
The HDMI silent stream is still not fixed – sad but true…
still no overscan support? tsk tsk. buh-bye ati!
Why on Earth would you want overscan? So you lose the taskbar and start menu off the edge of the monitor?
Same problems earlier versions… does not create customized by hdmi, under performance in Pro Evolution Soccer 2010, Braid, Devil may Cry4, Resident Evil 5… my old HD4770 had better performance than my current HD5770… instead of add you more capabilities to CCC should listen and resolve existing problems with the series 5XXX which all worldwide complains…. so when ATI? Sorry my english is not very good
Please support the CURRENT Linux X.org and kernel:
http://www.x.org/wiki/
X11R7.5 (xorg-server 1.7)
http://kernel.org/
Kernel 2.6.32.8
This will make a lot of Linux people happy.
Thank you
Yes , i couldnt agree more!! ATI support for Linux users REALLY REALLY SUCKS!!!
Since 2003 i bought 6 products with ATI chips on them, and UNFORTUNATELY my conclusion is always the same!!
THERE IS ALMOST NO LINUX SUPPORT FROM ATI!! ITS REALLY A SHAME!!
Please change that and i will be your customer again, no doubt about that!!!
Greetings , Humberto Patricio .
