Gamers, start your FX engines!

It has been a long time coming, but the new generation of AMD FX Family of CPUs is finally here!

When the original AMD Athlon FX series processors launched back in 2003 they were heralded for their speed, propelling AMD as a leader to gaming enthusiasts for years to come. Performance did come at a price though, with the flagship CPU commanding a hefty $999 price tag.

This time around, AMD decided to emphasize multi-threaded performance, excellent energy efficiency and fantastic value above all. Never before has an 8-core desktop processor been offered to the masses, alone at such a low price, especially with an unlocked multiplier enabling the user to tweak his or her system’s performance to their liking.1

That’s why the NCIX system design team was super excited to get their hands on this new generation of AMD FX 8-core processors. While laying down the preliminary specifications, we were rather surprised by the price points we were able to hit while using premium components and maintaining proper system balance.

To celebrate the long-awaited AMD FX series launch, we partnered up with ASUS and Corsair in order to bring you the very best AMD has to offer. As a result, our flagship Vesta A1 is equipped with the excellent ASUS Crosshair V flagship motherboard. Graphics duties fall to the silent, yet deadly ASUS Radeon HD 6970 DirectCU II, which is the fastest single GPU Radeon card ASUS has to offer. Cooling and power are provided by Corsair’s top of the line H100 and AX850, while a kit of 1866MHz Vengeance memory capitalizes on the AMD FX series’ ability to work with super high-speed RAM.

Encased in our signature custom-painted Corsair 650D chassis with tasteful lighting in Radeon Red, the Vesta A1 epitomizes what AMD FX is all about: performance, features, and value. And since not everyone needs a pre-overclocked[1] flagship machine, a top-to-bottom lineup based on 4-, 6- and 8-core AMD processors will launch at the same time. Now, if this doesn’t get your heart racing, you just might need to check your pulse!

Happy gaming!

Instead of cracking minds on Bulldozers, Piledrivers and Excavators, why don’t you nice boys and girls put your ATI Radeons on the cpu job just like Tesla, and then bring that whole thing down to my desktop and not restrict it to servers only.

Just a thought……i don’t know the intricasies, spare me if that sounds stupid. I am an AMD fan and will always be.

I love AMD. I have since it came out with Risc and doubled it’s speed vs. Intel’s Cisc. One thing I really admire is how Intel in this economy can put a pricetag on sandybridge-e CPU’s >$1000.00 where AMD is around $300.00. Unfortunately, many programs can’t use 8 cores yet, including video games, and the Phenom II x4 was bench’d higher than the FX 8150 on games. Honestly I’d still go with the FX just for the bragging rights. I hope there’s a new FX series due out soon that will have Intel running back to the labs for fresh ideas !!!
