		<description>You will need to check with your system board vendor to see what is supported.  You will need to update your BIOS, so make sure you do that before pulling the old processor.  Depending on the system you may be able to update up to the 1389 which is a quad core, 2.9GHz and a 6MB L3 cache.</description>

I want to upgrade to the amd quad core opteron 1356 which will fit in that socket...Im just curious if there is anything more power that will fit in the am2 socket. Is there hope for the six core or a way to and an extenstion to the am2 socket.</description>
