VMworld Question #2: How do you use the cloud?
Another week and another question to ponder!
As we continue to get ready for VMworld later this month, we are polling the community, our fans and the industry at large – yes that’s you – about cloud computing. Thus far we’ve scratched the surface of cloud computing, answering the question what the cloud is to you, but now it’s time to dive a level deeper.
This week we want to know how you’re using the cloud. With $7.3 billion spent on the cloud in 2009 and a predicted $42 billion to be spent on cloud services by 2012 we know you’re using it – we just want to know how.
Me? Well I’ve been known to use Picasa by Google and Facebook to stay in touch with friends. I also use care.com to find babysitters and dog sitters—and of course, I also use it for work from time to time. It’s safe to say that a lot of the work I do today relies heavily on the cloud – from accessing databases to running a variety of SaaS solutions.
But enough about me – why not tell us how you’re using it AND give yourself the chance to win a Dell Zino HD Desktop PC powered by an AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 3250E Dual-Core Processor. To recap the rules:

To use a batch of computers on a network to create a ‘cloud’, meaning a cloud all the computers are say connected to 3 servers to routers to the actual computers themselves, and the admins can control the computer clouds to find or diagnose problems or any other IT related issue
transmitted technology through urls and make the biggest
The cloud is the major component that connects me to society and the outside world. Cloud computing could also be called cloud communication!
I’m using cloud to cloud to push some of my workload. It’s very helpful.
With cloud computing we can use computer every where and anywhere with internet as main connection.
from just write document until use the program for managing task for company. but it’s will be continue for game (event the game not pure 3d that use good VGA requirement), some lash game is good enough.
many open source OS like Android, MeGoo, Bada, WebOS event those from comercial company, can accomodate could computing.
for me, as i’m programer, I’ll learn how to make or settle could computing for business, for education, for having fun, for social or for just want to learn.
but sometime, in a country who has very expensive price for pay internet or low in budget(poor country), the cloud computing it’s just “an discourse”.
I use the cloud to improve up-time (and it’s hard to get any higher than a cloud and still live life to the fullest!)
