[12 Days of 12 Core] Day 12: The Gift of New Cores in 2011
If you’ve been following along, over 11 days we’ve taken a look at 11 different aspects of our AMD OpteronTM server platforms in 2010. But, now it’s time to turn our sights to 2011. Not surprisingly, when you tear off the wrapping paper next year, AMD will be delivering brand new cores – in the form of our architecture code-named “Bulldozer”.
“Bulldozer” is AMD’s next-generation core architecture for heavy lifting applications. In order to explain some of the key technology concepts of the new processor, AMD released the video below:
In 2011, be ready for some Bulldozers to be pulling up to a data center near you. Will yours be one of them?
